The DP is in Meru for a two-day coffee summit aimed at addressing farmer concerns.
On the first day of the summit, he expressed his support for Meru’s coffee farmers.
“Taking a nature walk into the Meru Forest this morning was refreshing before day two of the highly interactive Coffee Reforms Stakeholder’s Conference.” “On my way, I inspected tea farms as preparations for the Tea Subsector Reforms Conference began,” he explained.
Gachagua walked the streets of Meru County with schoolchildren on Friday, before the summit.
Gachagua went for an early morning walk before the second day of his coffee stakeholder conference.
“It was rewarding interacting with children and other hardworking Kenyans on their way to school and work,” Gachagua said.
“Regular exercise does, in fact, keep one physically and mentally fit for maximum productivity.”
The deputy president stated that he will thoroughly deal with coffee cartels in order to restore the dignity of Kenyan farmers.
