Ndii Is Lying: Karua Denies Ruto Links To Linda Katiba Cash

Azimio la Umoja OKA principal Martha Karua has denied President William Ruto’s alleged role in the passionate Linda Katiba campaign that buried Former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s BBI project.

President William Ruto’s economic advisor David Ndii claimed in a tweet response to his critics that Ruto chipped in to pay its activities.

“Time for Revelations. Linda Katiba was formed by myself and Martha with Ruto support.”

Ndii revealed that Martha Karua was once Ruto’s prospective running mate.

“Martha was then prospect for WSR(Ruto) running mate. Made full disclosure which is why Makau Mutua was attacking me.”

Martha Karua however denied knowing Ruto was behind Linda Katiba, calling out Ndii for lying about the movement.

“David Ndii I am disappointed you have joined the ranks of unmitigated liars. Throughout our  collaboration with Linda Katiba, you never disclosed any funding from William Ruto or anybody else”

She added that the organization survived on individual contributions and was an unnamed philanthropist.

“We contributed for our expenses until we secured funding from a philanthropist towards the end. If at all William Ruto funded you it was your own private affair”

Linda Katiba was one of the institutions that killed and buried Uhuru and Raila’s BBI case.

Martha Karua said her association with Linda Katiba only came during the case when she joined the lobby group.

“I was not a party to the BBI case and you were already in court when I joined Linda Katiba. You cannot drag me into your money deals then with @WilliamsRuto”

On working with Ruto, Martha Karua said she only backed the then-DP in defending the constitution. Nothing more.

“I agreed to a collaboration with William Ruto limited to opposing the constitution. Later, when William Ruto through his people and himself, I made it clear that I could not work with him.”

Jerotich Seii, an activist and former Elgeyo Marakwet senate seat aspirant, blasted Ndii for discrediting the institution using ‘cheap lies’.

“Dr David Ndii do not sacrifice our reputations on the altar of your running battles with Boniface Mwangi who I know did not receive one cent for his work with #LindaKatiba. We were and still are volunteers.”

The Linda Katiba was formed to oppose the government-led attempt to ‘overthrow’ the will of Kenyans encapsulated in the 2010 Constitution.

The Linda Katiba initiative, led by Narc- Kenya Party leader Martha Karua and economist David Ndii, joined forces with other Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) critics.

Linda Katiba Movement, a lobbying group, launched a campaign to rally Kenyans to reject the Building Bridges Initiative entirely. They were successful.

According to the court, the President’s action to initiate, support, and lead the BBI process amounted to abuse of office and a violation of Chapter Six of the Kenyan Constitution on Leadership and Integrity.
