President William Ruto hosted his South Sudan counterpart, Salva Kiir, for bilateral talks at the State House in Nairobi on Saturday.
The discussions are centered on infrastructure projects.
In a tweet, Ruto said, “The signing of a deal on the establishment of a fiber optic cable along the Eldoret-Juba Road validates Kenya’s commitment to strengthening its ties with South Sudan.”
He continued, “We undertake to pursue joint infrastructural projects that will enhance connectivity, further integration, and boost intra-regional trade for our prosperity.”
