President William Ruto Issues Over 8600 Title Teeds in Kabartonjo

    President William Samoei Ruto issued 8621 title deeds in Kabartonjo in Baringo North. The title deeds issued were for residents from Baringo North, Central and South.

    Zachariah Njeru, the Cabinet Secretary for Lands and Physical Planning, and PS Generali Nixon Korir, the Minister of Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development, were present at the occasion.

    President William Ruto announced during the occasion that the government will hire an additional 100 land valuers to speed up the title procedure.

    ” I urge you all, stop the small cases and solve your land issues amongst yourselves. This is what slows the titling programme in the country,” said President William Ruto.

    He said the government was also going to build 8 new markets in Baringo county to promote business in the area.

    The CS and the PS assured that the Ministry of lands shall work tirelessly to issue title deeds to all land owners in the country.

    ” We shall be back before the end of the year to issue other 60,000 title deeds in Baringo county,” Said CS Njeru.

    PS Korir stated at Baringo Central that 98 percent of the work on new titles has already been completed when providing an update on the National Titling Programme.

    A few of the titles that have been released are those for Kapkirwok (3,172), Tiloi (2,499), Sagasak (52), Salawa (2), Sogon (121), Sandai (1,539), and Barwessa ‘A’ (1,236).

    The Baringo County Title Programme will address a number of problems, including local insecurity.
