On Monday, officers from the General Service Unit (GSU) surrounded Kisii Governor Simba Arati’s office at Gusii Stadium.
According to reports, the Governor was barred from entering the stadium, where he has a secondary office.
According to sources, the GSU surrounded the office after receiving orders from above.
Yesterday, the governor claimed that security officers wanted to raid his Motonto home and other premises at night, but that he asked them to do it during the day.
