AC Milan’s Ibrahimovic Eyes Tottenham Fixture

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is working hard to return to the field for AC Milan, with a Champions League match against Tottenham Hotspur on the horizon.

The 41-year-old has been out of action since having knee surgery in May and is scheduled to return to the field by the end of January.

According to Tuttosport, the Sweden international expects to be ready to face Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League Round of 16.

The opening leg is set for February 14 at San Siro, with the return match in London on March 8.

Serie A has been suspended for the 2022 World Cup and will resume on January 4 with Milan facing Salernitana.

There will be a striker shortage for that game, since Olivier Giroud is still on vacation after leading France to the World Cup Final in Qatar, where they lost on penalties to Argentina following a 3-3 tie.

Divock Origi is also still dealing with injuries.
