Kisumu Passenger Train Derails at Mamboleo

There were no casualties, however.

On Saturday, a Kenya Railways train was involved in an accident as it approached Kisumu Railways station.

This occurred after the train’s front section derailment. The accident happened a few kilometers away from the station.

Passengers were forced to exit the train after its engine came to a stop.

Motorists traveling on the Kisumu-Kakamega road were forced to take alternate routes because the train completely blocked the road.

There were no casualties, however.

According to witnesses, they heard a bang and had no idea what had happened until they realized it was the train.

No vehicle can pass through since the train has blocked the entire Kisumu-Kakamega highway.
