Acting Police IG Gabow Makes DCI Changes

    Acting Inspector General Noor Gabow has made changes to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in accordance with ongoing police reforms.

    In a statement issued on Wednesday, October 19, the Acting IG stated that the changes are aimed at streamlining services and enhancing effectiveness.

    Among the changes were the deployment of John Gachomo as the new Director Internal Affairs Unit and the appointment of Nicholas Ireri Kamwende as the Deputy Director DCI.

    “In other changes, Mr. Eliud Kipkoech Lagat is the new Director Investigations Bureau (IB), Mr. Johnstone Kola the new Director ATPU, and Mr. Martin Otieno Omumbo deployed to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations whereas Mr. Paul Mumo has been deployed to the Kenya Police Headquarters, Vigilance House Nairobi,” the statement added.
