AFC Leopards Hammer Police 3-0

Patrick Aussems’ AFC Leopards thrashed Kenya Police FC 3-0 at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday afternoon, ending a run of four consecutive draws.

Victor Omune put on a fantastic performance, scoring one and assisting on another in a 2-0 first-half lead, and John Mark Makwatta added a fantastic third in the second half.

The Leopards showed no signs of missing their previous four first-team players.

Collins Shichenje has relocated to Sweden, Marvin Nabwire and Dan Musamali are undergoing police training, and Washington Munene was unable to play due to injury.

Ingwe, on the other hand, was flawless and classy in their approach, with John Mark Makwatta, Omune, and Cliff Nyakeya all getting starts, demonstrating why head coach Patrick Aussems was desperate for them in the first few games of the second leg.
As the young Leopards side showed them who is boss, the police were stunned and out of sorts.

Tedian Esilaba twice cleared off the line for the police as they sought a goal, while Opiyo made another excellent save to deny Kinanga.

Ingwe dominated the game to earn the three points, while Omollo suffered his first loss as Police boss in three games.
