Africa Tech Festival 2025 to Champion Inclusive Innovation and Policy Dialogue in Cape Town

The Africa Tech Festival, the continent’s leading platform for technology and innovation, is set to return to the Cape Town International Convention Centre from November 11 to 13, 2025, with its most ambitious agenda yet. Now in its 28th year, the festival will spotlight responsible and inclusive digital development under the themes of Responsible Innovation, Inclusive Investment, Connectivity for Development, and Policy Harmonisation.

This year’s event comes at a pivotal moment, coinciding with the G20 Leadership Summit, which further elevates its global relevance and influence. The festival will also host an expanded Ministerial Summit, highlighting its growing role in shaping policy dialogue and fostering multilateral cooperation within Africa’s tech landscape.

James Williams, Event Director for Africa Tech Festival, emphasized the urgency of aligning innovation with development goals. “AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital inclusion are now at the heart of Africa’s development agenda. This year’s themes reflect not just the continent’s digital priorities, but also the need to ensure technology serves broader social and economic progress,” he said.

The 2025 edition will feature over 17,000 attendees, more than 300 exhibitors, and 450 speakers across its four core events: AfricaCom, AfricaTech, AfricaIgnite, and the AI Summit Cape Town. Together, these forums will explore cutting-edge technologies, foster partnerships, and address the digital infrastructure challenges facing African nations.

As Africa accelerates its digital transformation, the Africa Tech Festival remains a critical space for thought leadership, policy innovation, and investment mobilisation, cementing its role as the continent’s gateway to a smarter, more connected future.
