Airbnb Permanently Bans Parties And Events Around The World

According to Airbnb, the number of complaints regarding parties has decreased by 44 percent after the measure was implemented.

Airbnb has permanently prohibited parties and parties at homes on its site, following the success of a temporary precaution during the pandemic.

Since its implementation in August 2020, the rule has evolved into “far more than a public health policy,” according to the corporation.

“It developed into a bedrock community policy to support our hosts and their neighbours,” the San Francisco-headquartered firm said.

However, it also lifted a cap on the number of people who can stay at home.

According to Airbnb, the number of complaints regarding parties has decreased by 44 percent after the measure was implemented.

Exceptions to the global prohibition may be allowed in the future for “specialty and traditional hospitality facilities,” it added.

Airbnb also said it would remove a limit on the number of people its listings are allowed to accommodate at any one time.
