Allegations of Embezzlement Cause Rift at Machakos Citadel Salvation Army Church

For the second consecutive time, congregants at the Machakos Citadel Salvation Army Church were compelled to hold two separate services due to ongoing disputes between two factions over allegations of embezzlement.

One faction, led by Isaac Muviku, conducted their service outside the church building, accusing the officer and pastor in charge of the Citadel Caotain Mutisya of extensive corruption.

Isaac, a member of the disgruntled faction, the accused officer has even gone as far as increasing his salary without the approval of the church members.

The faction also criticized the officer for neglecting development, specifically failing to renovate the church’s cloakrooms, which congregants describe as being in a deplorable state.

The group now plans to petition the church’s headquarters in the US for intervention.

Last month, a scuffle ensued when the disgruntled faction remained resolute in their refusal to worship until the officer and his group, accused of corruption, were removed from office.

Efforts to reach the accused team were futile, as they quickly drove off in their private car.
