The allocation of affordable houses will be digitized to ensure fairness, transparency and accountability.
The housing Principal Secretary, Charles Hinga said this while receiving 228 housing units from contractors at Park Road project site in Nairobi.
A report published by MyGov. , reveals that the allocation criteria for the completed houses will soon be published across all media platforms.
The PS also cited that the sale of Park Road project will entail all the 1370 housing units which are at various stages of development adding that the second and third phases will be ready by June and December, 2020 respectively.
Several other housing projects lined up by the government include; Starehe and Shauri Moyo projects whose ground breaking is slated for the first quarter of this year targeting 8,000 units.
“We have various civil servants housing scheme projects at various stages of completion with 250 in Kisumu, Machakos(152), Embu (164) and Kiambu (193) to cumulatively avail 759 units for civil servants,” the PS is quoted to have said during the ceremony.

Hinga said the government is set for groundbreaking of another 4,000 units under the civil servants housing scheme across various counties which include; Mombasa, Uasin Gishu Murang’a, Nyeri, Meru, Nakuru, Kisii and Garissa.
The PS also said that the ministry has signed commitments with County Governments to further facilitate affordable housing in their regions.
