Ange Postecoglou Agrees to Take Over as Nottingham Forest Head Coach

Nottingham Forest have parted company with head coach Nuno Espírito Santo, and former Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has agreed to succeed him.

Forest confirmed Nuno’s departure on Monday, citing irreconcilable tensions with club owner Evangelos Marinakis, particularly over transfer dealings.

The Portuguese coach had guided Forest to their highest Premier League finish in three decades last season, securing seventh place and Europa League qualification.

In a swift move, Postecoglou agreed terms to take charge at the City Ground. The Australian, who won the Europa League with Tottenham before being dismissed earlier this year, is expected to oversee Forest’s upcoming match against Arsenal.

The appointment reunites Postecoglou with Marinakis, with whom he shares a close personal connection. Forest officials described the transition as a strategic step to build on recent successes and ensure stability ahead of a challenging domestic and European campaign.
