Former UDA Official Appointed KRA Chairman

President William Ruto announced new nominations to several State agencies on Friday, with all new appointees slated to serve for a three-year term beginning immediately. 

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party National Elections Board (NEB) Chairman Anthony Ng’ang’a Mwaura takes over as Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Chairperson from Francis Muthaura. 

President Ruto also named Hamisi Mwashobo Mwaguya as Chairperson of the Kenya Maritime Authority, and David Wamatsi Omusotsi to a similar position at the Council of Kenya Utalii College.

Gen. (Rtd) Joseph Kiptoo Kasaon has been appointed Chairperson of the Kenya Meat Commission (KMC).

James Waore Dianga has also been appointed Chairperson of the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA). 

Former Athletics Kenya Federation (FKF) President Gen. (Rtd) Jackson Tuei is the new Chairperson of the Sports, Arts, and Social Development Fund Oversight Board.

Halima Yussuf Mucheke was also named the Chairperson of the Tourism Regulatory Board. 

Mithika Linturi, the Agriculture Cabinet Secretary, also appointed former Taita Taveta Governor John Mruttu as the new Chairperson of the Agricultural Finance Corporation’s Board of Directors.
