On December 21st, the Principal Secretary (PS) for Health Susan Mochache today met with Kisii Governor Honorable James Ongwae to discuss implementation of the Kisii Cancer Centre Project.
The project is co-Funded by the Arab Bank for Economic Development (BADEA), Saudi Fund for Development and the Government of Kenya.
The Centre, whose groundbreaking is scheduled for early 2020, will help increase access to cancer diagnosis, treatment and management services in the Lake Basin Region.
The PS assured the Governor that the Ministry will support the project to ensure speedy and smooth execution as part of the Government Universal Health Coverage goal.
