Five KCPE candidates from Arap Moi Primary School in Tarakwa, Uasin Gishu county have died in a deadly boat accident
The five were part of a group of Standard Six and Standard Eight students accompanied by teachers to a hotel for recreational activities, according to a police r.
According to the report, when some students arrived at the site on Saturday about 5 p.m., they boarded a boat whose path was blocked by a man-made dam, and the boat overturned.
According to the police, the pupils had ventured to the Amazement park as part of preparations for the exams that will start Monday.
The pupils from Arap Moi Primary School and their teachers went to the park for a boat ride on a man-made dam when it capsized.
The victims were later moved to Burnt Forest Hospital where they were confirmed dead.
The bodies were later moved to MTRH morgue which is right here in Eldoret City.
