Inter Faith Council Chair and Nyeri Archibishop Anthony Muheria has condemned increase in grissly unresolved murders in Kenya.

Muheria said respect for life in Kenya appears to have ended and urged Christians to help end the slide.

“Life is sacred. God wills that we live our lives to the fullest. We must respect this”, he said.

He wondered why humanity has turned against the core of religion and said time to change is now.

On Monday this week, a Kirinyaga University student was murdered in a suspected love triangle trigger.

The student was tossed from the third floor in a Juja flat and died on the spot.

DCI is investigating.

A week ago, 40 bodies were retrieved from the River Yala, precipitating concern that contract killings are on the rise.

Catholic Bishops are expected to issue a statement soon on the state of the nation and the upcoming August elections.
