President William Ruto unveiled a list of probable Cabinet members on Tuesday at State House in Nairobi.
The 22-member Cabinet includes three elected members who won various seats in the general election on August 9.
This means that, if approved by Parliament, areas, where elected leaders have been named to Cabinet, will have to hold by-elections to elect new leaders.
This is because the Constitution prevents elected members from holding ministerial positions.
The three include; Elgeyo Maraket Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Garissa Town MP Aden Duale, and Kandara MP Alice Wahome.
Murkomen was named Roads and Public Works Cabinet Secretary, Duale was proposed for Defence, and Wahome was named Water and Sanitation Cabinet Secretary.
If vetted and approved by Parliament, the IEBC will declare their seats vacant and call for by-elections via a gazette notice.
