FAKE KDF Officer Defrauds Family Ksh. 200,000 For Army Cadet Post

Ben Musatsiri Asuga was charged before Milimani Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina with fraudulently obtaining Ksh 200,000

Fake KDF officer has pleaded guilty to obtaining money pretending he had vacant Army Cadet posts.

Ben Musatsiri Asuga was charged before Milimani Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina with fraudulently obtaining Ksh 200,000 from Joseph Busisa pretending he was in a position to facilitate employment of her daughter in the Kenya Defense Forces.

The accused is said to have approached Mr. Joseph Busisa in February and claimed he had been offered a slot at the position of Army cadets.

The complainant was impressed to have his daughter join the Army. Musatsiri later planned to meet the complainant in Nairobi on April 24,2023 for the recruitment.

The complainant was asked for a facilitation fee of Ksh 200,000.

The two later on in the day met a lady called Jackline Nduti who allegedly was a PA to a general commander of KDF.

At that point the conmen requested for the money. The complainant after giving out the money asked whether they could meet the said general commander.

However, he was told that the commander was busy with recruitment duties. He became suspicious and upon further enquiry, the accused person became violent.

The accused person pled guilty to the charge but later said that part of the facts relating to the offense were true while others were false.

He was released on a bond of Ksh 200,000 with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 100,000.
