Arsenal have taken the top spot in the Premier League table after Match week 8, sitting first with 19 points and a +12-goal difference, edging ahead of Manchester City, who trail by three points.
The Gunners’ consistent form has kept them unbeaten since the start of the season, cementing their position as early title contenders. Manchester City remain close behind in second place with 16 points and a +11 goal difference, while Bournemouth’s impressive start sees them climb to third on 15 points, level with Liverpool in fourth.
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur follow closely in fifth and sixth, both on 14 points, alongside newly promoted Sunderland, who continue to surprise in seventh. Crystal Palace are eighth with 13 points, tied with Manchester United, whose negative goal difference places them ninth.
The mid-table battle remains tight, with Brighton, Aston Villa, and Everton all on 12 or 11 points. Brentford, Newcastle, Fulham, and Leeds hover near the bottom half, while Burnley, Nottingham Forest, West Ham United, and Wolverhampton Wanderers occupy the relegation zone.
Wolves, rooted to the bottom with just two points, face mounting pressure after a poor start, while West Ham and Forest also struggle to find form.
As the league heads into its ninth week, the standings highlight one of the most competitive starts in recent seasons with only seven points separating the top ten teams.
