AWWDA Launches Tree Planting Initiative

3,000 indigenous trees were planted in partnership with key stakeholders including Kenya Forest Service, National Environmental Management Authority, Area leaders, Buchana Primaru School and Kiriko Secondary School and members of the community.

Athi Water Works Development Agency has launched the Karimenu II Dam Tree Planting Initiative.

According to the agency 30,000 trees will be planted around the project sites aimed at restoring the trees cleared during construction of Karimenu II Dam while promoting conservation and protection of the Karimenu river.
