Azimio la Umoja leaders have planned a series of campaign rallies across Nairobi’s 17 constituencies, aiming to keep Deputy President William Ruto at bay.

The rallies are led by a coalition of ODM and Jubilee leadership.

Following similar gatherings in Langata and Dagoretti North on Wednesday, the rallies taking place in Raila’s absence on Thursday took their campaigns to Dagoretti South and Westlands.

During a rally in Dagoreti South, ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna predicted that Azimio would win the majority of seats in the capital.

The Nairobi senate aspirant stated that ODM and Jubilee will work together to deliver Nairobi in the August elections.

“They thought ODM and Jubilee could not walk together, they have been proved wrong. We will work with Jubilee to deliver in Nairobi,” Sifuna said.

According to a schedule shared with the media, the squad will on Friday camp in Starehe and Kamkunji with rallies at Gikomba-Ziwani stage and the historic Kamukunji grounds.

On Saturday, the Azimio team will be at Embakasi West, Embakasi South, and Makadara, the following day they have lined up rallies in Ruaraka, Embakasi North, and Mathare.

Finally, the six-day campaign will be completed with major rallies in Royasambu, Kasarani, and Embakasi Central.
