Azimio Reportedly Ditches Bahati For Aluoch

Bahati is expected to step aside for Aluoch in exchange for a job in the Azimio administration.

Mathare Jubilee aspirant Kelvin Kioko aka Bahati has suffered a major setback after the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition chose ODM’s Anthony Aluoch as their Mathare Constituency candidate.

Confirming the same, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna stated that the decision was made on Monday during a joint delegate’s meeting presided over by Raila Odinga.

Thus, Bahati is expected to step aside for Aluoch in exchange for a job in the Azimio administration.

“Zoning was done perfectly even here in Mathare we have agreed that its an ODM zone. We only have one candidate in Mathare and that is Anthony Oluoch, this young man called Bahati is my younger brother and we will talk. I will make sure that we find him another position within the Azimio government.” Sifuna said.

The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Council adopted a rationalization plan on Friday that requires constituent parties to align candidates in order to combat increased sibling rivalry.

The Coalition’s readiness for the August 9 elections was discussed.

However, the musician has dismissed claims that he has stepped down as false.

Bahati claimed that some Azimio La Umoja members have been causing confusion among his supporters by alleging that he has withdrawn his bid.

“Dear Azimio… stop misleading the voters of Mathare. Bahati – MP Mathare has not stepped down for anyone,” Bahati said in a Facebook post on Monday.
