The Azimio la Umoja coalition walked out of the Senate on Wednesday, June 21, after Trade CS Moses Kuria was allowed to testify before the House.
The Azimio la Umoja senators were irritated during Senate proceedings after the Speaker of the Senate, Amason Kingi, allowed Kuria to answer questions about his docket.
According to the senators, the House lacked a quorum, in violation of Standing Order 41, and thus could not conduct business.
The Speaker also declined to allow Trade CS Kuria to be grilled on attacks on the media and the edible oils scandal.
