Leaders associated with Azimio allegedly thwarted a plan to rig the Starehe constituency election.
Ministry of Industrialization CAS David Osiany displayed a man being questioned about allegedly having ballots in his possession.
Osiany claims that some of the papers are marked, others are stamped, and some are unmarked.
“We have arrested anomalies in Starehe. Unmarked and pre-marked ballot papers, yet stamped already. Remember, ballot papers were to be stamped during issuance. Unfortunate,” he wrote on Facebook.
A group of Azimio leaders flanked Osiany, including Nairobi Woman Rep Esther Passaris, departing Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, and ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.
Both marked and unmarked ballot papers were found on suspects in the Starehe Constituency, according to ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.
