Content creator and media personality Azziad Nasenya has approached Nairobi’s Commercial Court seeking to halt the planned auction of her Kileleshwa apartment.
According to court papers, Azziad claims she has cleared all outstanding loan arrears but the financial institution is attempting to recall the full loan amount prematurely.
She legally acquired the property through a mortgage with a deposit-taking savings and credit society, and the apartment is valued at approximately Sh20.3 million.
Azziad alleges she made regular monthly contributions and was granted a loan of Sh20,389,720 in April 2024.
Despite facing economic hardships that briefly led to arrears totaling Sh1.51 million, she says the institution later deducted Sh2.45 million from her savings, clearing the balance in full.
She argues the auction notice published on September 24, 2025, is unlawful, citing undervaluation of the property and improper statutory notice under the Land Act.
Azziad is now seeking a court declaration confirming she is not in arrears, a permanent injunction stopping the auction, and damages for breach of contract, while continuing to live in the apartment and honor her loan repayments.
