Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has urged former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to retire from politics or be embarrassed by DP Ruto.

Kuria, who was holding an interview with one of the local dailies, recognized Odinga’s key role in sustaining the democracy that resurrected Kenya’s multiparty system.

Kuria, on the other hand, emphasized that the elderly must now make way for new blood to demonstrate their leadership abilities for the country’s prosperity.

He believes that Raila Odinga, who has been in politics for more than 40 years, should retire in August with President Uhuru Kenyatta, paving the way for a new generation of leaders.

“The tremors in the country are part of a revolution marking thirty years of multiparty experiment, old orders must give ways to a new order, the gods have spoken…I advise my friend Raila Odinga to give way to this revolution and retire with grace alongside Uhuru Kenyatta…” Kuria said.

Raila will be attempting his fifth stab at the presidency.

He has enjoyed massive support from veteran political leaders, unlike DP Ruto who is trotting with younger leaders.
