Barbados Prime Minister opens Caribbean Community Diplomatic office in Kenya

The Right Honorable Madam Mia Amor Mottley, the Prime Minister of Barbados

The first female Prime Minister of Barbados will be presiding over the official opening of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Diplomatic office in Kenya in an event hosted by Foreign Affairs CS Amb Monica Juma.

The Right Hon. Mia Amor Mottley will officiate the opening of the office which is in line with the upcoming African, Carribean and Pacific(ACP) Group of states conference on 8th December at the KICC.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to host Prime Minister Mottley on 11th December at the statehouse where she will be accorded a full state visit and thereafter hold talks aimed at deepening trade, cultural and people-to-people ties between Kenya and the Caribbean state.

Prime Minister Mottley will be President Uhuru Kenyatta’s special guest during this year’s Jamhuri Day celebrations at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi County and thereafter at the State Luncheon at State House Gardens.
