Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface was involved in a serious car accident on Sunday morning, just hours after scoring in his team’s 2-1 Bundesliga victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 23-year-old Nigerian international was a passenger in a Mercedes when the vehicle collided with a lorry at approximately 7 AM local time.
Boniface shared harrowing images on social media, including a video of his heavily damaged car and a distressing photo of his bloodied left hand. Despite the severity of the crash, he is reported to have sustained only minor injuries, specifically two injuries on his left hand. The damages from the incident are estimated to be around £167,000.

After being rushed to the hospital for treatment, Boniface took to Instagram, posting a selfie from his hospital bed with the message, “Thank you Lord,” expressing gratitude for his survival. Details about the condition of the lorry driver or any other passengers involved in the accident have not been disclosed.
