Trans Nzoia County Assembly is the 6th County to pass the Building Bridges Initiative Constitutional Amendment Bill. – By Gerald Gekara.
According to the assembly, only one MCA voted to squash the bill, while 34 others voted to pass the amendment.
This comes after two more counties, Busia and West Pokot voted to pass the constitutional ammendment.
The 24-assembly requirement is now 17 counties away from being turned into a referendum.
So far, only one county, Baringo, has voted against the bill, with KANU allied MCAs moving to court to illegitimize the decision over grounds of disobedience to the standing orders.
