Autopsy Reveals What Killed Kenyan Woman In Saudi

The family of a 21-year-old woman who died last year in Saudi Arabia believes she was tortured.

Beatrice Waruguru’s remains were delivered on Wednesday, months after her death.

The family claimed the dead was injured, which caused them to be hesitant to sign documents at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), resulting in a five-hour standoff.

They did, however, accept Waruguru’s remains at about 6 p.m., after which they were transported to the Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Thika Road.

Mercy Wanjiru, the deceased’s mother, told the journalists at JKIA that her daughter died in anguish, as evidenced by the bruises on her body.

“The head is disfigured with eyes seeming to have been gouged out. Her neck has deep cuts and stitches. Maybe they slit her throat,” said Ms. Wanjiru.

“Some flesh behind her legs is missing maybe because she died a long time ago and some body parts were interfered with.”
Waruguru was recognized by her dreadlocks, according to her mother.
The grieving mother wishes President Uhuru Kenyatta to meet her daughter and help put an end to Kenyans’ difficulties in the Arabian country.

“It is very painful for any parent and I appeal to those willing to come and view the body and see how our children are suffering in Saudi Arabia yet the government is silent,” she said. “I wish President Uhuru could have time to see this,” she said.

While Waruguru’s family believes he was murdered, an autopsy report from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia indicates that he committed suicide in May 2021.

However, according to a relative named James Mathenge, Waruguru had been calling him and alleging that she was being tortured.
