Benny Hinn Ushers in Historic Healing Crusade in Uganda

World-renowned evangelist Pastor Benny Hinn launched a three-day Miracle Healing Crusade at Miracle Centre Cathedral in Rubaga on Friday, drawing an estimated 200,000 worshippers from Uganda and 11 nations across the globe.

The gathering, hailed as one of the largest Christian crusades in Uganda’s recent history, began with a powerful message focused on the Holy Spirit. “It is not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord,” declared Pastor Hinn, quoting Zechariah 4:6, as thousands erupted in worship.

The event, hosted by Pastor Robert Kayanja, brought together believers from as far as China, India, the U.S., and Saudi Arabia. A 1,000-member choir led a united worship session, while ministers from multiple denominations worked side by side—marking a rare moment of national Christian unity.

Even before Pastor Hinn took the stage, reports of miraculous healings began emerging. One woman from Luwero, who had arrived on a stretcher, walked unaided during worship. “I felt power in my legs. I stood, then I walked,” she testified.

In his sermon, Hinn reminded the crowd that miracles, while powerful, are not the goal. “Only the Holy Spirit can transform hearts,” he said. “You don’t need to travel to Jerusalem to find God. He lives in you.”

With thousands expected to attend in the coming days, Pastor Kayanja called the crusade “the fulfilment of prophecy,” proclaiming Uganda as a spiritual wellspring for the nations.

On social media, Hinn celebrated the event: “The power of God came down like a mighty river. This is just the beginning.”

The crusade continues through Sunday in Rubaga.
