Bhang Worth Ksh11.6 Million Seized in Nakuru Operation

According to police, the driver of the vehicle managed to escape, but the co-driver, identified as Dennis Mukungua, was arrested at the scene.

Detectives from the Anti-Narcotics Unit in Nakuru have arrested a suspect and seized bhang valued at approximately Ksh11.6 million during an operation along the Kabarak–Nakuru Road.

The arrest followed an intelligence-led operation conducted in collaboration with officers from the Dog Unit, who intercepted a silver Toyota Voxy, registration number KBN 486Z.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle managed to escape, but the co-driver, identified as Dennis Mukungua, was arrested at the scene.

A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 12 green sacks and 12 bales of bhang, with a total weight of 387 kilograms.

Mukungua was taken into custody alongside the recovered narcotics and the impounded vehicle and escorted to the police station for processing.

He is expected to be arraigned in court.
