Biden has WON in Arizona

JOE Biden has WON in Arizona according to multiple outlet projections, turning the state blue for the first time since 1996.

The announcement from outlets including ABC, NBC, and CNN comes after more than a week of counting following Election Day.

While the Associated Press and Fox News had called the state a win last week, a majority of outlets held off on calling Biden’s victory in the battleground state.

On Thursday night, however, that changed – putting Biden even further over the finish line in winning the presidency.

The Democrat is now projected to have 290 electoral college votes, according to multiple projections – well over the majority 270 needed to win the election.

Biden’s victory in the battleground is the first time a Democrat has won the state since 1996.

The last time the state voted blue in a presidential election was during Bill Clinton’s re-election in 1996.

Pope francis congratulates joe Biden

Pope Francis congratulated President-elect Joe Biden on his election win as the former vice president calls for immigrants and refugees to be welcomed in the United States.

Biden thanked Pope Francis for “extending blessings and congratulations” while praising the pope for his leadership in “promoting peace, reconciliation and the common bonds of humanity around the world.”

Biden will be the second-ever Catholic president, joined only by former President John F. Kennedy.

China congratulates Biden on election win

China has congratulated Joe Biden on his election victory, the country’s foreign ministry has said.

“We respect the choice of the American people. We extend congratulations to Mr. Biden and Ms. Harris,” foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said at a regular daily briefing.

“We understand the results of the US election will be determined according to U.S. laws and procedures,” he added.

Election ‘most secure in history’

US government officials have declared that the 2020 election was the “most secure in American history” – in a huge blow to Donald Trump’s claims of fraud.

A statement from a coalition of federal and state cybersecurity experts said there is no evidence that ballots were compromised in last week’s vote.

The statement read: “The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history.”

It added: “While we know there are many unfounded claims and opportunities for misinformation about the process of our elections, we can assure you we have the utmost confidence in the security and integrity of our elections, and you should too.”

The president, along with some Republican leaders and his loyal supporters, have claimed that Joe Biden stole the election, and that Trump actually won.

Biden has been declared the president-elect, and as of last night, had over five million votes more than Trump in the popular vote.
