According to Bill Gates, co-chair, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will open a regional office in Nairobi.
The regional office will broaden and improve the Foundation’s initiatives in Kenya’s ICT, agricultural, and healthcare sectors.
He was speaking during a meeting at State House Nairobi with President William Ruto.
The organization was praised by President Ruto for its efforts and effects in Kenya.
Bill Gates praised the President for the Hustler Fund, which will shortly be opened.
He said that it will help regular Kenyans make money and build riches.
“We appreciate the Gate’s Foundation support for crucial initiatives in Kenya’s health, agriculture and ICT sectors. We look forward to more collaboration on food security and universal health coverage.”
President Ruto also stated that Kenya was dedicated to providing community health workers with greater funding in order to improve basic healthcare.
