Dutch Government To Cull 102,000 Chickens

Following dozens of cases earlier in the year, fifteen cases of the extremely deadly strain of avian flu have been reported in the Netherlands in the past month.

Following the discovery of a highly contagious strain of bird flu, the Dutch government announced on Tuesday that it would slaughter approximately 102,000 chickens on a farm in the northern city of Kiel-Windeweer.

Following dozens of cases earlier in the year, fifteen cases of the extremely deadly strain of avian flu have been reported in the Netherlands in the past month.

France has also seen a resurgence in cases after experiencing its worst-ever bird flu wave earlier this year.
