Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka is in a political dilemma.
Kalonzo, who has refused to join Raila Odinga or DP William Ruto for a winning alliance is facing a rebellion in Machakos, Kitui, and Makueni.
Reason. The Scramble for the Wiper ticket.
Machakos
Wavinya Ndeti and Patrick Makau are fighting to be governor of Machakos. Wavinya is very close to Kalonzo. Makau is his trench man.
Then there is the little problem of Nzioka Waita, the political tsunami currently sweeping Machakos.

Waita stood by the Kalonzo family when Ukambani first Lady Pauline Kalonzo was critically ill in Germany.
Waita traveled all the way to Germany to support the family.
Kalonzo must lose two close political allies by the 28th of February when he issues the party ticket.
Kitui
His son Kennedy Kalonzo is the running mate to Ambassador Kiema Kilonzo.
His former ally David Musila is back in Wiper.
Then there is Dr. Malombe alias Kyuma who is a confidant many times over.
Malombe is a house hold name and last Wiper Governor in Ukambani.
Again Wiper must make a decision.
Will Kalonzo deny his son a ticket at this critical moment in his career?
Makueni Governor

Mutula Kilonzo Junior. The son of Mutula Kilonzo, the man who patented Wiper.
Now he is being threatened by Kalonzo’s friend Professor Kaloki.
Junior is popular among the youth. He remains largely very popular in Ukambani. But Kalonzo is at a political cycle where he can do without distractions such as these.
So again he must lose another friend.
Then there are the MPs considerations. Most Ukambani MP-aspirants and MCAs want the Wiper ticket, perceived a sure bet to Parliament.
But this is a double-edged sword and poison-laced chalice.
Kalonzo has more political problems than Azimio or DP Ruto decision.
