Blinken Lands In Kenya Ahead Of Africa Tour

United States Secretary of State Antony J Blinken has landed in the country , ahead of a four-day visit to Africa. 

Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo and US embassy personnel received him at 1 a.m. 

The Secretary will encourage US-Africa cooperation on shared global concerns like as ending the COVID-19 pandemic and restoring the global economy, addressing the climate disaster, rejuvenating our democracies, and achieving peace and security during his visit. 

He is set to meet with President Uhuru Kenyatta and Foreign Affairs CS Raychelle Omamo.

In Abuja, Blinken and Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will discuss collaborating on international health security, expanding energy access and security and other issues, it said.

Blinken’s last visit will be with Senegalese President Macky Sall in Dakar “to reaffirm the close partnership between our two countries,” the agency said.
