African fastest athlete and continental champion in men 100m Ferdinand Omanyala has faced a big blow as his Botswana new record was nullified.
Ferdinand Omanyala’s Botswana record of winning men’s 100m at the Botswana Grand Prix has been nullified after he stepped out of his lane.
During the race, Omanyala stepped out of his lane, which is a violation of the rules, and this led to his disqualification.
Ferdinand Omanyala had won the Men’s 100m at the Botswana Grand Prix in a time of 9.78s (2.3) ahead of Lestsile Tebogo who ran 9.91s.
In the third position came Kenny Bednarek in a time of 10.02s.
