Police in Busia County are holding a bodaboda operator for allegedly defiling a 2-year-old baby.
According to police officers the suspect, identified as Humphrey Ojiambo, is said to have committed the heinous act on the night September 3, 2022.
The 22-year-old suspect is accused of defiling the infant after luring her with mandazi.
Startlingly, the suspect would then take the baby to her mother in the morning, only for her to notice that the child was not behaving normally.
This prompted her to call the authorities. The bodaboda rider, who operates in Funyula, was then arrested by police.
The suspect will be arraigned once investigations are complete.
