Mastermind, Zachariah Nyaore Obadiah and 16 others linked to ghastly sexual attack of a foreign diplomat along Wangari Maathai road, will remain in police custody until Monday.
The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) filed a fresh application seeking for five more days to allow him peruse the file and give his decision on whether to charge them or not.
However, the suspects who were arraigned in two separate courts were detained until Monday March 28 when the DPP is expected to have given his directions on the matter.
Obadiah and the sixteen who have been in custody for more than 10 days are said to have given police more details on what transpired during the incident that happened on March 4.
The prosecution informed the court that investigations into the matter is complete and the file was on Thursday morning forwarded to the DPP for further action.
Milimani magistrates Robert Shikwe and Robinson Ondieki detained the suspects at Gigiri police station until Monday 9am.
