BY FAITH MUTETE – A statement from the Governor’s Press office has advertised for collection of unclaimed bodies from Mbagathi and city mortuary. At the same time, Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital is urging family members to pick bodies of their kin that have stayed at the hospital for almost four months.
“They (families) will be required to pay morgue charges accrued during the period they have been at the facility,” Communications Director Elkana Jacob said on Tuesday.
The bodies identified are Eugene Wabure Wechuli (ID number 31942404), Peter Macharia Mwango (ID 35626948), Samuel Etili Aiyamai (ID 29601734), Daniel Oruru Amuzama (ID 14433995), Raphael Kwetu Kasamani (ID number 25780813), Dismas Leokono (ID 21852126) and Benjamin Boma Wasike (ID 24205386).
Two of them are yet to be identified after fingerprints were taken from the bodies, seven were victims of road accidents while two succumbed to natural illness.
