Body of Reported Missing Caretaker Found In House Partially Eaten By Dogs

The body of a reported missing caretaker was discovered partially eaten by dogs in his house in Athi River, Machakos County.

Maurice Mwaka, 45, was the caretaker of a university lecturer’s residence in the Sabaki area.

According to the lecturer, he spoke with Mwaka on January 27, 2024.

He had not heard from him until February 2, when he was informed that his body had been discovered in his makeshift house on the compound.

The policies were notified when the firm employing Mwaka reported him missing for three days.

Colleagues, upon checking on him, found the door was open.

They found his naked body within the house, with signs of dog bites on the neck.

The police were summoned, conducted preliminary investigations, and subsequently transported the body to the morgue for an autopsy.

The police said they are investigating the death.
