Former Nigeria’s presidential spokesperson Doyin Okupe’s son Bolu Okupe on Monday evening he went on to comment about the anti-gay rights that was passed on back in January 2014. And by the time his father was serving as Jonathan’s administrative spokesperson.
Bolu seemed to be well informed about the passing laws situation he revealed that some of the legislatures who voted for the bill were gay people.
The law stated that same sex relationships and marriages in Nigeria were banned and anyone found contravening the law will face a 14 year jail term.
“With the whole 14-year law ,I bet you for a fact some people who were signing or voting for the law were gay themselves. It’s ridiculous. If you look at it statistically you would know for a fact that a few people who voted on that law would have been gay themselves. During an Instagram live session Bolu admitted to being gay.
“I do feel sorry for the women. You women should be fighting for more acceptance because a lot of you guys are married to gay men. I am sorry but you have been a living a lie and your husbands are living in secrecy and leading double lives. “
I feel like some of you know and don’t mind because your husband is rich but some of you don’t know but discover later and it’s heartbreaking.”
“I don’t feel like any woman deserves that so that’s why I feel like women need to stop being homophobic and push for acceptance so you don’t find your selves in such a situation like that because you are married to gay men whether you like it or not , whether you want to accept it or not .that’s a fact
