Kenya’s Commonwealth Games team, which is set to compete in Birmingham, UK, received a massive boost today when Kenya Breweries Limited donated Sh14 million in sponsorship.
The Games will be held in Birmingham from July 28 to August 3, and Kenyan athletes will be hoping for a better showcasing.
KBL Managing Director John Mosunga said during the event at Kasarani stadium this morning that they are committed to supporting the athletes.
The National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOCK) president, Paul Tergat, thanked KBL for the collaboration and wished the athletes “best of luck” in the championship.
Team Kenya Captain Joshua Oyoo said they are focused on doing well.
