K-pop boy band BTS is now pushing forward with preparations to complete their military duty, BIGHIT MUSIC has stated.
This follows a statement released by BIGHIT MUSIC on Monday.
“After the phenomenal concert to support Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030, and as each individual embarks on solo endeavours, it’s the perfect time and the members of BTS are honoured to serve,” read the statement in part.
The procedure will be started by group member Jin as soon as his solo release schedule is completed at the end of October, while the other members want to complete their military duty in accordance with their respective personal schedules.
BTS was founded more than 10 years ago the members are looking forward to getting back together as a group in 2025 after the mandatory military service.
All able-bodied men in South Korea aged between 18 and 28 must serve in the military for between 18 and 21 months as part of efforts to defend against nuclear-armed North Korea.
