Busia Man Charged with Publishing Fake KNEC Exam Papers Online

A 22year old man from Busia has been charged at the Milimani Law Courts with false publication and unlawful possession of identity cards belonging to other people.

According to the charge sheet, Nasiuma Chrispinus Nambafu is accused of intentionally publishing misleading information between 2022 and October 11, 2025, claiming to possess Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).

The prosecution told the court that the accused shared the false information through WhatsApp forums, allegedly using it to fraudulently obtain money from members of the public.

Nambafu also faces three additional counts of unlawful possession of identity cards belonging to Lucy Muthoni Kimencu, Bosco Kioko Wambua, and Doris Kathini Kimencu. 

He denied all the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate at Milimani Law Courts. The court granted him a cash bail of Ksh100,000.

The matter will be mentioned on November 18, 2025.
