A businessman was yesterday presented before Kibera Law Courts following accusations of assaulting a friend who interfered with his cooking stones. – By John Mutiso.
Vincent Makori was charged yesterday before Kibera senior principal magistrate Charles Mwaniki where he denied the charges. He is accused of assaulting Kevin Kamau Nduati on February 25 at the Thiong’o road area in Westlands subcounty within Nairobi county.
According to the police reports, Makori found Kamau sitting on the cooking stones he uses to do business along Thiong’o road.
The reports state that an argument ensued in the process before Makori went for the defendant’s armpit leaving him with serious injuries.
The accused however denied the charges and was released on a Sh20, 000 cash bail or a Sh50,000 bond. He is expected to reappear before the court on March 15 for pre- trial mention
