In a bid to enhance service delivery across various sectors, several key government officials have announced a wave of new appointments.
Lands Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome, in a gazette notice dated April 17, appointed Irene Kyatu and Daido Aragon to an ad hoc committee tasked with boundary delineation in Wang’uru and Sagana.
Other members include Ezra Ng’ang’a, Peter Kariuki, Peter Muraguri, Francis Muriithi, Richard Warui Kariuki, and Millicent Nkatha. The appointments will take effect from March 1, 2025.
Separately, Attorney General Dorcas Oduor appointed Teresia Wanjiku as the new Registrar of Societies.
Though gazetted on April 17, Wanjiku assumed her role on April 4. She will oversee registration, regulation, and legal compliance of societies, in addition to dispute resolution and inspection mandates.
Meanwhile, Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii reshuffled his county administration, appointing Kottut Kipkemboi and Victorine Kapkiai to the Departments of Water and Economic Planning.
Elphas Kesio and Mary Kerich were named to Agriculture and Energy, while Eunice Suter was assigned to Social Protection.
Edward Lelgo and Kenneth Muskiton will serve as County Commissioner and Kenya Forest Service official respectively, with Ruth Kemboi representing the Farmers Association.
In the education docket, CS Julius Ogamba made key appointments to university councils, naming Parmain ole Narikae and Carren Kerubo to the University of Eldoret and Karatina University Councils.
Asteri Angolo was also appointed to the National Biosafety Authority for a three-year term starting April 11, 2025.
